Healthline Medical Group performs urine drug screen testing for many employers. In some cases HMG serves as the collection site for the specimen. In other cases, the physicians at Healthline Medical Group serve as Certified Medical Review Officers (MRO). This process ensures patient confidentiality, proper chain of custody handling of the specimen to follow federally mandated guidelines to prevent errors.
Healthline Medical Group performs audiometry screening, as well as annual follow-up audiograms which screen for threshold shifts. The equipment used is calibrated annually and is OSHA certified. A large volume of audio testing is performed at HMG for post-offer pre-placement and for annual physical examination purposes.
Healthline Medical Group has a full-time staff of certified X-ray technicians who are also certified as medical assistants. We have transitioned to a digital x-ray processing system which helps reduce radiation exposure to the patients and at the same time provides much faster processing of the digital images. We are able to electronically transfer the radiographic images to the radiologist who reads our studies, as soon as the image has been taken. This provides for faster turnaround for radiology reports and also allows us to communicate with our consultants in a much more timely fashion. When the images need to be shared with those consulting providers, our staff is now able to burn a CD-ROM and hand the images to the patient to take with them to the specialist. The digital x-ray system has allowed us to cut costs for both private patients, as well as the injured workers that we treat. This eliminates unnecessary duplication X-ray procedures which might have otherwise been obtained in the past. In summary, Digital X-rays are safer for the patient because there is less radiation exposure and they help reduce medical costs.
Bilingual Staff
Healthline Medical Group has a bilingual staff of both front office receptionists and back office medical assistants who help coordinate the medical care for both our private patients, as well as for the injured worker. Our bilingual staff can provide necessary translation services for patients whose primary language is not English.
In-house Dispensing of Medications
When authorized by the workers compensation carrier, Healthline Medical Group dispenses prepackaged medications directly to the injured worker. This reduces patient’s waiting time at a pharmacy and ultimately results in the patient getting the necessary prescriptions in a timely manner. This also allows for careful scrutiny of any narcotic abuse, or other medication issues such as drug to drug interaction allergies.
