- Preop Exam: prior to surgery, each patient needs to have medical clearance for the surgical procedures planned. The surgeon sends over the orders for what each patient requires. Our team of healthcare professionals perform any necessary preoperative lab tests, Chest X-ray, EKG and/or other necessary preoperative tests within 30 days of the scheduled surgery. Once all testing and the preoperative history and physical exam has been completed and reviewed by our team of healthcare professionals, the patient may be cleared for surgery. If additional testing is required, the adjuster is notified and an appropriate RFA is submitted to UR. In an expedited manner, our staff obtain any further preauthorization necessary to proceed with the recommended consultation/testing.
